Toy Orchestra was Andrew Horowitz's experimental 15-piece sing-along band. He formed it around 2003, inspired by a democratic spirit of music-making.
"Toy Orchestra evolved from eight years of contemporary composition study by composer Andrew Horowitz. The sing-along, once popular and very much a part of society for hundreds of years, has gradually faded, now finding itself confined to sacred music. Toy Orchestra is based on the principal that anyone can create music. Playing original pop songs and ambitious covers, this 15-piece indie rock collective has performed in numerous venues in Ann Arbor, MI, including the concert hall McIntosh Theater and the legendary rock club Blind Pig."
