Rob Cantor is the lead guitarist and one of the primary vocalists of Tally Hall. He also records music under his own name.

Bio

Rob was born and raised in Bloomfield Hills, MI. He attended Andover High School and was in a band called listedBlack with Zubin Sedghi and Zach Krasman.

In the fall of 2002, during his sophomore year at the University of Michigan he played Tally Hall's first show with Zubin and Andrew Horowitz. Around the same time, he joined Joe Hawley's comedy troupe anonyMous, which also featured Rick Lax and Andrew Laurich.

He majored in Molecular Biology in college, with a minor in Non-Professional Music. He graduated in 2005, and turned down a full scholarship to med school at U of M to pursue music full-time with Tally Hall.

After Tally Hall, Rob worked as a commercial songwriter and composer in New York City. He then moved to Los Angeles, and released his solo album Not a Trampoline in March 2014.

He has had a number of notable solo successes, including his viral music videos for All I Need Is You, Perfect, and Shia LaBeouf (the latter of which won him a Webby Award in 2015).
